Eternal Chapels Cagayan de Oro marks first anniversary
THE Eternal Chapels Mortuary and Chapel Services in Cagayan de Oro City marked its first anniversary on July 27, 2018.
The celebration started with a motorcade that went around the city, followed by a Thanksgiving Mass at Eternal Gardens Greenhills Park in Barangay Bulua, Cagayan de Oro City, where Eternal Chapels is located.
Msgr. Eutiquiano M. Legitimas, parish priest of the Immaculate Conception Parish, officiated the Mass and the renewal of the blessing of the chapel office and mortuary facility.
Eternal Chapels Chairman and CEO D. Edgard A. Cabangon led the executives and officers of the company in welcoming guests to the event.
In his special message, Cabangon shared how he asked his father, the late Eternal Group founder Ambassador Antonio L. Cabangon Chua, for his blessing before venturing into the mortuary business. “My father used to be skeptical about going into the mortuary- services business. But when I asked him during his last few days, he gave me his blessing, and I believe that he is guiding us up to this day, which is why we are continuously growing,” he said.
Cabangon also happily shared to guests the ongoing expansion moves of Eternal Chapels.
“We will open our new branch in Naga City, hopefully before the year ends” he said.
Eternal Chapels Vice President for Mortuary Operations Jaime B. Bangalan shared how, in a span of one year, Eternal Chapels was able to attain everything it has aimed to be.
“When we started in 2017, we envisioned a mortuary that provides the best memorial services befitting how a loved one should be remembered. We envisioned an engaging relationship with the bereaved, filled with caring and empathy. And we did. We have attained what we wished for, and our CdO mortuary team will continue growing on them,” he said. Since it opened in July 2017, Eternal Chapels has served more than 100 families, and continues to gain popularity among Cagay-anons for its excellent service and state-of-the-art facilities.
Eternal Chapels is part of the Eternal Group, which includes leading memorial park developer Eternal Gardens, Eternal Crematory Corp., and preneed provider Eternal Plans Inc. The Eternal Group is a member of a bigger conglomerate, the ALC Group of Companies, named after its founder Ambassador Antonio L. Cabangon Chua.
